Professor Emeritus Rodney Frew passed away on June 28 after a long period of declining health.
Frew received his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Arkansas in 1962. In 1963 he was appointed assistant professor at the State of Missouri. In the spring of 1970, he entered the University of Iowa for postgraduate study. He retired from the state of Missouri after 34 years of teaching and received emeritus status.
Frew’s exhibition record was dense with major jury exhibitions at the national and international level and many one and two person exhibitions.
His notable print series include: The Little General, Mister Magic And Seven deadly sins.
A scholarship has been established in his honor.
