Askew One opens its archives and Onehunga studio doors for the first time ever, showcasing a range of experimental originals and hand-painted multiples, rareprintsand works on paper, as well as pieces shown internationally but yet to be seen at home.

With a strong self-taught background in graffiti and post-graffiti art, graphic design and video making, Askew One’s international following and web presence over the past 12 years have made him the most popular and internationally recognized global graffiti industry and New Zealand. contemporary urban artist.

Many of Askew’s art projects take place overseas by direct invitation and have included projects in countries such as Switzerland, Singapore, the UK, USA and Tahiti. To date,sidewayshe is the only New Zealand artist to have appeared in the leading French publication “The Urban Contemporary Art Guide” (2014) and is the only New Zealand representative to have exhibited at the Urban Art Biennale (Germany, 2015). His most significant achievement in 2015 was the art direction, exhibition and co-financing of a culturally important group exhibition atAMBUSH Gallery(Sydney), titled ‘Post-Graffiti Pacific’.sidewayscontinues to represent his country and the Oceania region on the international urban contemporary map.
